When I saw that title, I thought you were speculating on whether he was using some high-powered stimulants, like cocaine or crystal meth.

That was the first thing I looked for, as I remembered him wearing an earpiece during the 2000 debates, which was shocking to say the least. Will all of the Karl Rove inspired paranoia aside, I oculdn't help but wonder during the last debate if shrub may have had some kind of tiny high tech receiver hidden in his ear. His actions just seemed strange when during his frequent brain locks he would pause, close his eyes and look down almost like he was trying to hear Karl Rove talking in the background... before looking up and spewing out a flurry of words. Of course, he could have been listening to God, who I understand has taken a pro-active roll as one of his presidential advisers. Or he could even have been listening to the Gipper offering advice from the grave. ("Go ahead Georgie, say it, I'm telling you it'll work... 'now there you go again'." Call me crazy but if I were Kerry, I'd have some technicians scanning the channels backstage. What a great story it would make if it came out that shrub was getting fed info through a listening device.

Also... just an aside in reference to the comment proceeding this... I would cash out my 401K and give it all away to see a shrub on crystal meth debating Kerry on national TV.

Heh. That would be fun, wouldn't it?

The technicians scanning for Bush's frequency is a good idea, but if they pin it down, they shouldn't just take it the press after the debate; they should start jamming it, preferably with a noise track loud enough to be audible on the microphone and make Bush flinch and rip the bug out of his ear on camera.

...probably they could use similar techniques that James Randi's people used when exposing Peter Popoff.

Or better yet, break into the transmission and tell him to say things like "I enjoy dressing up in my wifes undergarments and parading around the West Wing late at night" .... or "I just can't wait until I'm finally able to nuke some dumbass country."
